Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, toileting, and mobility.
- Communicate patient status and changes in condition to the nursing staff and healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility standards.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Document patient care activities and interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered State CNA Certification and licensure in Texas.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience as a CNA or in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and position patients as needed.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
