Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patient rooms are clean, sanitized, and comfortable, maintaining a high standard of infection control.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs and updates to physicians, nurses, and family members.
- Assistance: Serve as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient records and shift reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida.
- Experience: Prior experience in long-term care or home health is preferred but not always required for high-potential candidates.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR/BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods; good physical stamina.
