Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures and prepare patients for examinations.
  • Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers and ensure a safe, comfortable environment.
  • Document patient care activities, symptoms, progress, and changes in condition accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests and emergency situations following hospital protocols.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required for the state of Oregon.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred but not required).
  • Previous experience in a hospital or medical setting is highly preferred.
