Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures and prepare patients for examinations.
- Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers and ensure a safe, comfortable environment.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, progress, and changes in condition accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergency situations following hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required for the state of Oregon.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred but not required).
- Previous experience in a hospital or medical setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
