Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Provide basic wound care and assist with personal hygiene.
- Report any changes in patient condition, behavior, or physical status to the nursing staff immediately.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, operating wheelchairs and stretchers safely.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their stay.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Texas CNA License (State Tested Nurse Aide).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- CPR certification is a plus.
