Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including feeding and mobility support.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses and other healthcare team members to implement care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Accurately document patient care activities and changes in condition in the medical records.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Current, active Texas State CNA license (CNA Certification) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus.
