Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Medication Assistance: Support the nursing staff by administering medications as directed and documenting intake and outcomes.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team, reporting any changes in patient condition immediately.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, sanitized, and organized to prevent infection.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and charts in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must possess a valid and active CNA Certification (State of Ohio) or a CNA license from another state with current multistate privileges.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy and patience.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods as required by the job duties.
