Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with ambulation and transfers to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and their environment is safe and orderly.
- Communication: Communicate patient updates and concerns effectively to the nursing staff and family members.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient care records and charts.
- Assistance: Support the nursing team with medication reminders and other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Wisconsin CNA Certification (CNA1) required.
- Licensure: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or hospital settings is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Schedule: Must be available to work weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday shifts.
- Physical: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary.
