Responsibilities
- Perform daily living assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming for patients.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with ambulation and transfers to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with feeding patients and maintaining proper nutrition and hydration.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in accordance with facility policy.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to implement care plans and ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid New York State (NYS) CNA License required.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) must be current.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate compassion in patient care.
- Must be available to work exclusively on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow medical instructions.
