Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately and promptly.
- Provide mobility assistance, helping patients transfer safely to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by changing linens and assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Document daily care activities and observations in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in long-term care, home health, or hospital settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
- Must be available to work weekends, including Saturdays and/or Sundays.
