Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic bedside care and assist with mobility issues, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and residents.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or assisted living facility is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate, patient-oriented attitude with a focus on quality care.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
