Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient vitals, measurements, and screenings during intake.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Assist with basic laboratory testing, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
- Manage and update patient electronic health records (EHR) with strict adherence to HIPAA compliance.
- Provide clear instructions and education to patients regarding medications and treatment plans.
- Ensure the examination rooms are clean, stocked, and organized for patient safety.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
