Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, maintaining a positive and respectful demeanor at all times.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and daily progress in electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team, physicians, and families regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Ohio Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is a plus.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
