Responsibilities
- Provide Essential Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Monitor Patient Health: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients transfer in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers using proper lifting techniques and safety equipment.
- Medication Assistance: Remind patients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in condition or adverse reactions to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and well-hydrated; assist with meal times and feeding if necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in California.
- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients weighing up to 250 lbs, and perform physical labor as needed.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to treat patients with kindness, empathy, and respect.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
