Responsibilities
- Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility (ADLs).
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the administration of medications and treatments under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and families regarding patient conditions and care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to strict infection control and sanitation protocols.
- Document patient care activities, including shifts, observations, and interventions, in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida CNA License required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or ACLS is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to handle physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy, patience, and patient advocacy.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, specifically Friday through Sunday rotations.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
