Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and ambulation with proper techniques.
- Administer medications and document patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all residents.
- Support emotional needs of patients by providing companionship and active listening.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State CNA License required.
- CPR and BLS certification (Basic Life Support) is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required by the schedule.
