Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility and transfer using proper techniques
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while maintaining dignity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active DC Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required
- Minimum 1 year of long-term care or hospital experience preferred
- CPR certification and current TB test
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate approach to patient care with empathy and patience
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening
