Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist licensed nursing staff with treatment procedures and medication administration as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer using proper body mechanics and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Kansas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and respect.
- Reliable transportation and a positive attitude.
