Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Communicate patient status changes, concerns, or requests to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, following infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) or paper charts.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing personnel.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Candidate must be compassionate, patient-oriented, and detail-driven.
