Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping to ensure a safe living environment.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in condition or behavior to the care coordinator immediately.
- Administer medication as directed by the client's physician and keep accurate medication records.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, or errands as needed.
- Document daily care logs and care plans accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is mandatory.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Experience in home health, long-term care, or personal assistance is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
