Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with administration when necessary.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on specific dietary requirements and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and light exercise to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping duties, laundry, and errands to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in a client's physical or emotional condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Transportation: Provide non-medical transportation to medical appointments and social activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: or equivalent GED.
- CNA or PCA Certification: Preferred but not required for compassionate applicants.
- Valid Driver's License: and reliable personal transportation.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or caregiving is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Empathy: A genuine desire to help others and a patient, kind demeanor.
