Responsibilities
- Assess patient calls using clinical protocols to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Provide telephone triage for diverse patient populations across all age groups
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for complex cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Implement emergency protocols for critical situations
- Conduct patient education on home care and follow-up procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with current BLS/ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years emergency or urgent care experience
- Valid telephone triage certification (TNC preferred)
- Strong assessment skills for diverse medical conditions
- Exceptional communication in English and Spanish
- Experience with Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- BSN degree preferred
