Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting as needed.
- Medication Management: Provide medication reminders and ensure clients take their prescriptions on time.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations, play games, and provide emotional support to reduce isolation.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients move around the house or assist with walking using mobility aids.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and care plans to track client progress and communicate with the nursing team.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Active Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is strongly preferred.
- License: Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- Health: Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature with a strong work ethic.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Background: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
