Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in health status to supervisors immediately.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage clients in conversation, and facilitate recreational activities to combat loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social outings as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or a hospital setting is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and families.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient, kind demeanor.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
