Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients through conversation and social engagement.
- Administer medication and remind clients to take prescribed doses at scheduled times.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and vacuuming, to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Accurately document client care logs and report any changes in physical or mental condition to the supervisor immediately.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social activities, and shopping trips using a personal vehicle.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and caring demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
