Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Monitor and remind clients to take prescribed medications as directed.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversations and recreational activities.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the client's dietary needs.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning to ensure a safe living environment.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as required.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification is required.
- License: Active state license in good standing.
- Experience: Prior experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not mandatory; we provide paid training for the right candidates.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Empathy: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient, compassionate demeanor.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as needed.
