Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Assist clients with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor for side effects in coordination with physicians.
- Offer companionship and conversation to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to ensure a safe living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, and community outings.
- Document daily care logs and communicate changes in condition to the nursing supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Physical stamina to lift and assist patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Previous experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is a plus but not mandatory.
