Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a dignified and respectful manner.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications at the scheduled times and report any missed doses or side effects to the supervising nurse or family.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, activities, and hobbies to reduce feelings of isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring proper nutrition for the client.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment, including laundry and light cleaning tasks.
- Mobility Support: Assist clients with transferring, walking, or using mobility aids safely to prevent falls and injuries.
- Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with family members, case managers, and our healthcare team regarding the client's condition and daily progress.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Required.
- CPR and First Aid Certification: Preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have access to a reliable vehicle for transportation to client homes.
- Experience: Prior experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), or in a similar caregiving role is highly preferred.
- Compassion & Patience: A genuine desire to help others and the patience to handle diverse situations with grace.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to pass a background check.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on client needs.
