Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterilized and ready for use.
  • Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing, including blood draws and urinalysis, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, documenting patient vitals, medical history, and treatment plans in real-time.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and handling patient inquiries.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider, strictly following state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Current state certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
