Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history documentation with accuracy.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure patient charts are complete and up-to-date.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups, referrals, and laboratory testing.
- Handle front-desk administrative duties including scheduling, insurance verification, and billing support.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.
- Current, valid Oklahoma State Medical Assistant License.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
