Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Care: Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and record vital signs accurately in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations, minor procedures, and injections.
- Lab & Admin: Perform basic laboratory tests, prepare specimens, and manage front-desk administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and processing insurance.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Education: Provide clear instructions and educational materials to patients regarding medications, follow-up care, and wellness.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA certification.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Skills: Proficiency in EMR/EHR software and strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all backgrounds.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings as needed.
