Responsibilities
Your Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, verify demographics, and prepare them for examinations under the supervision of healthcare providers.
- Procedures: Perform routine clinical duties including vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic wound care.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update Electronic Health Records (EHR), and handle insurance verification.
- Lab Work: Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordination: Schedule appointments, answer phone inquiries, and coordinate referrals to specialists.
- Compliance: Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and sterilization standards across all clinical areas.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or equivalent certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Skills: Proficient in electronic health records software (Epic, AthenaHealth, or similar) and strong computer literacy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Location: Must be willing to work in the Nashville, TN area.
