Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in health or medication side effects to the supervising nurse.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, appetizing meals that meet the client's dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage in social activities, listen to concerns, and provide emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the client, including light laundry and errands.
- Mobility Support: Assist with walking, transferring from bed to chair, and using mobility aids safely.
- Documentation: Accurately document daily logs, including care provided and client behavior, in our electronic health records system.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Completion of a state-approved CNA or Home Health Aide training program is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, caregiving, or the healthcare industry is highly valued.
- License/Certification: Valid CNA or HHA certification (if applicable) required. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks with ease.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact respectfully with seniors and families.
- Trustworthiness: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
