Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with the utmost respect and dignity.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescribed medications and accurately report any side effects or changes in condition to the supervising nurse.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in conversation, and participate in recreational activities to reduce patient isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Assist with meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning to ensure a safe and hygienic living environment.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, as directed.
- Transportation Assistance: Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands using your reliable vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Current California Home Health Aide Certificate (CNA certification preferred but not strictly required).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home health or personal care is preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation are required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient, kind demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods and assist with transfers if necessary.
