Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and ensure safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to update care plans.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Texas CNA Certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients of all ages.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing/walking as required by the role.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
