Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings including ICUs, ERs, and surgical units
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient assessments using EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and facility-specific protocols
- Respond to emergency situations using advanced cardiac life support protocols
- Preceptor and mentor new nursing staff as assigned
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete discharge summaries
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York or Florida
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner preferred)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Valid BLS/ACLS certifications
- NYS DOH or FLHQA clearance (or ability to obtain)
