Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms with proper instruments and materials
- Sterilize equipment and maintain infection control protocols
- Take dental X-rays and develop radiographs
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and manage dental supply stock
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant license (RDA or RDAEF preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general/cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency in dental imaging (X-ray, digital sensors)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar practice management software
