Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software
- Administer local anesthetics and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Dental Assistant license required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Certification in radiography and infection control
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
