Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and sanitation of instruments and workspaces.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop digital X-rays, impressions, and bite registrations as directed by the dentist.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and process payments accurately.
- Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and equipment prior to procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- Licensure: Current Dental Assistant (RDA) license and radiography certification in the State of Texas.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
