Responsibilities
- Prepare patient charts, review medical histories, and update records.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry.
- Expose and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Process insurance claims and handle financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficient in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and radiology equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
