Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort before and after treatments.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization, disinfection, and cross-contamination prevention.
- Radiography: Capture high-quality digital X-rays and process images accurately for diagnosis.
- Charting & Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, update charts, and prepare necessary insurance documentation.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and order dental supplies and materials to ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
- Oral Health Education: Provide patients with post-operative instructions and tips for maintaining oral hygiene.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Florida Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license and X-ray certification.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in using dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and modern dental equipment.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability: Punctual and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
