Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside support with four-handed dentistry techniques and instrument transfer
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards
- Capture and process diagnostic digital radiographs with precision
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for seamless operations
- Delicate post-op care instructions and patient education on oral hygiene
- Coordinate front-desk duties including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certification or equivalent experience
- Current California Dental Assistant license and CPR certification
- 2+ years clinical experience in general or specialty dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona) and practice management software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Detail-oriented approach to infection control and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-volume practice environments
