Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures, managing anxiety, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and cross-contamination prevention.
- Radiography: Perform and process dental X-rays (Panoramic and Periapical) accurately.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, process insurance claims, and schedule appointments.
- Lab Duties: Prepare temporary crowns and fabricate impressions as directed.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Licensure: Current Arizona Dental Assistant license (or ability to obtain within 90 days) and Radiology certification.
- Experience: 1+ years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- CPR Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dexis) and strong interpersonal communication skills.
