Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including restorations, endodontics, and orthodontics
- Accurate digital radiography imaging and diagnostic charting using Eaglesoft software
- Sterilization instrument processing and OSHA compliance monitoring
- Patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene protocols
- Inventory management of dental supplies and ordering through Henry Schein systems
- Coordination of multi-specialty treatment plans with surgeons and orthodontists
- Maintaining HIPAA-compliant patient records and digital documentation
Qualifications
- New York State Dental Assistant Certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general or cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency with digital imaging (DEXIS, Sirona) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously with precision
- High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting program preferred
