Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the Charge Nurse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics to ensure safety.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment to prevent infection.
- Document patient care activities, intake/output, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing by the State of Missouri.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
