Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Take accurate dental impressions and process digital radiographs
- Manage patient flow and ensure seamless appointment transitions
- Implement HIPAA compliance for patient records and confidentiality
- Train on advanced digital dentistry systems including intraoral cameras
- Coordinate with insurance providers for pre-authorizations
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Texas RDA license or eligibility to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification with current BLS credentials
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Spanish
- Proven ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
