Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including four-handed dentistry and oral surgery
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Perform chairside assistance with infection control best practices
- Update patient records and maintain digital charting systems
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Certificate from accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Active Washington State Dental Assistant License (DALEA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain current)
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
