Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Dentrix software
- Provide chairside support and patient education on oral hygiene
- Coordinate sterilization and inventory management of dental supplies
- Assist with front desk duties including scheduling and billing when needed
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and imaging software
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
