Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, crowns, and oral surgeries
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal instrument sterilization
- Deliver patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Manage digital charting and practice management software
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule optimization
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and Eaglesoft/Cerident software
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Exceptional communication skills and chairside manner
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy protocols
- Ability to manage multiple procedures in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
