Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments (four-handed dentistry)
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital imaging
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software
- Perform lab tasks like pouring models and fabricating crowns
- Coordinate patient scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography (X-rays) and sterilization
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent chairside manner and patient communication skills
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar practice management software
