Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain dental equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures including four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Provide chairside assistance during restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Implement infection control protocols per OSHA standards
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Kentucky
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuing education in dental advancements
